Brush Away the Sugar- Burg Children's Dentistry

Sugar can damage teeth!

Ice Cream and Sno Cones and Popsicles are summer staples (especially with all of the fun outdoor activities around). Remember that it is okay for your kids to enjoy these treats but it’s important that the sugars don’t sit on teeth for a long time, no one wants to put a damper on summer fun with cavities. Try having the kiddos brush their teeth within a few hours of enjoying.

Teeth are super important, and it is vital that we keep them and the tissue around them clean and clear of debris. Making sure that your children floss after each meal, or at least in the morning and evening before bed, can help to reduce the risk of inflammation and infection in the gums between the teeth.
